When the case demands more than ultra-thin veneers can deliver — worn teeth, old crowns, structural damage, severe discolouration — Emax is the material of choice. Pressed lithium disilicate ceramic combines the strength of a crown with the aesthetics of the finest porcelain. At Ferrari Dental Clinic, every Emax restoration is designed and milled in-house using CEREC CAD CAM technology.
Why Emax?
Emax IPS by Ivoclar is clinically proven to be three times stronger than conventional feldspathic porcelain — yet its light-diffusing micro-crystalline structure produces translucency that conventional porcelain cannot match at this thickness. The result is a veneer or crown that is simultaneously durable enough for heavy biting forces and beautiful enough to be indistinguishable from natural enamel.
Emax uses a pressed lithium disilicate block that is heated under precise pressure to produce a homogeneous crystalline structure throughout the restoration. This eliminates the air bubbles and micro-fractures common in layered porcelain, giving each veneer uniform strength and optical consistency from edge to edge. The ceramic is then customised by hand to match your natural tooth shade and surface texture.
Ferrari Dental Clinic's CEREC CAD CAM system mills each Emax restoration from a solid ceramic block on-site. The tooth is prepared, scanned digitally, the restoration designed on-screen, and milled while you wait. For many cases, the final crown or veneer is bonded the same day — eliminating the traditional 2-3 week wait for laboratory fabrication and the inconvenience of temporary restorations.
Emax is the material Dr. Habib Zarifeh selects when the clinical situation is beyond what ultra-thin veneers can address — severely decayed teeth, failed old crowns, root canal treated teeth needing full coverage, or cases combining implant crowns with natural tooth veneers. In these situations, the strength and precision of Emax is not optional. It is the only material that delivers both aesthetics and structural reliability under the same conditions.
Emax is recommended for patients who grind their teeth, have heavily discoloured teeth unresponsive to whitening, need to replace old porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, or want a full Hollywood Smile where maximum durability is the priority alongside aesthetics. Unlike ZEvolution or Lumineers which need no tooth preparation, Emax requires minimal but permanent enamel reduction — Dr. Habib always discusses this clearly before any preparation begins.

Emax at Ferrari Dental Clinic
The CEREC CAD CAM system at Ferrari Dental Clinic produces Emax restorations with a fit tolerance measured in microns — tighter than any conventional laboratory process. This precision matters because a poorly fitting crown or veneer creates gaps that trap bacteria, cause sensitivity, and fail prematurely. In-house milling eliminates the variation introduced by external laboratories and the time pressure of next-day delivery.
Dr. Habib Zarifeh combines his surgical background with over 20 years of cosmetic restoration experience to deliver Emax results that balance function and aesthetics equally. Every case is assessed for bite forces, gum health, and bone structure before any preparation begins — because a beautiful veneer on an unprepared foundation will not last.
